2 double rooms in newly renovated house July- September
Hi there, I am looking for two new housemates to share my charming and spacious, newly renovated house which has a real light an airy feel, huge south facing garden and is on a quiet leafy street in Norbury, on the border of Streatham and Crystal Palace.
I currently have two rooms available, both are large doubles, brand newly decorated with painted wooden floorboards and new beds and furniture that have never been used! One room has a king size bed, the other a double. Available on a short term basis from 3rd July - 30th September
The house is a 5 minute walk from the high street where you can find shops, bank, coffee shops etc and a 10 minute walk from the station (Norbury zone 3) which has excellent rail services into Victoria (20 mins) Balham (7 mins) Clapham junction (12 mins) Peckham (20 mins) East Dulwich (18 mins) and London Bridge (30 mins) as well as buses into Brixton and Streatham 24 hours. Also Croydon is a short train or bus ride to the South and Crystal Palace just up the hill. Über usually costs about £15 from central London/London Bridge or £10 from Balham/Clapham. Crystal palace £6. Brixton is 20 mins by 24 hour bus.
There are a couple of supermarkets within a 7 minute walk which have all you need, and also huge Sainsburys and Tesco extra 20/25 mins up the road towards Streatham if needed. A costa coffee is at the end of my street, and there is also a cool pub planned to open next year with a pop up venue this summer. Banks, post office and superdrug are all on the highstreet for convenience and a Nuffield Health gym with swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room is an 8 minute walk away. Norbury hall park is also 2 minutes up the road.
About the house
The house has been completely renovated, including new Windows, electrics, parquet floor, fireplaces, exposed brickwork and granite work tops in the kitchen. I am just finishing the final touches as you read this advert. The garden is big and sunny, south facing.
The house has 3 large bedrooms, one of which is occupied by myself, a 31 year old English male freelance designer who will often be away traveling and exploring London but also enjoys hanging out with housemates for dinner and movies. On the ground floor is a large living room and an open plan kitchen dining room to the rear that opens out to the garden.
The house is equipped with Virgin media TV and broadband and fully furnished. The living room has a large sofa and TV, ready for movies and Netflix with housemates, the dining room has a large table that can easily seat 6 people with over head lighting, perfect for wine and dinner and whiskey nights.
The kitchen is new and has dishwaher and and retro styled fridge and granite work tops, the bathroom is also pretty new and has both a bath and shower cubicle.
The garden is going to be a haven for BBQs and lazy summer days listening to music and having a cider or something equally refreshing.
Understairs cupboard has hanging rail for coats and houses the washing machine.
I am looking for people who are friendly, respectful and also Clean and tidy and who naturally want to keep the place nice

Rent is £650 a month for one double and £700 for the larger double with king size bed, £800 for a couple, this price includes rent, council tax, water rates, home insurance, TV license, Netflix,, Virgin Media TV package with most channels including BT sport, line rental and 200mb fibre optic broadband so no problems all sharing Internet/Spotify/Netflix.
The only thing on top of that price is sharing pay as you go gas and electric which can be topped up at the shop at the end of the road.

Please note that no smoking is permitted in the house but fine in garden as long as you keep the butts tidy.
